Mexico Manufacturing - Baja Industrial Tour: October 22
In today's dynamic manufacturing environment, companies have several attractive options to consider when expanding, relocating or simply starting a new manufacturing facility. Mexico and in particular the Baja California region, provides the best combination of assets for establishing a manufacturing operation.

At its inception, the draw for foreign manufacturers was its low-cost labor rates, today the manufacturing landscape is much different; Mexico has attracted global corporations that go far beyond simple assembly. It is now common to find companies that design, develop and manufacture some of the most complex products in the marketplace for the medical device, aerospace, automotive and electronics industries. Global manufacturers and suppliers alike are flocking to Mexico for its 50 years of manufacturing experience, favorable trading terms, highly skilled workforce and proximity to US and North American markets.

It’s these positive aspects that are contributing to the high enthusiasm for CPI’s manufacturing industrial site tours. CPI’s Marketing Director, Denisse Martinez, said companies are quickly requesting their industrial tours as US firms are interested in seeing Mexico’s manufacturing sector up close and personal.

“Mexico has become the new China and executives in various manufacturing sectors want to see the success of nearshore operations for themselves.” said Denisse Martinez, Marketing Director at CPI.

Martinez said their manufacturing tours have attracted executives from a wide array of industries. They are drawn to manufacturing hubs like those in Tijuana, Baja California, which boast a strong and low-cost, highly-skilled workforce, reduced logistics cost to major North American markets, and strong free trade agreements reducing import/export costs.

“The tour always features industry leading manufacturing facilities with international accreditations and certifications such as Nadcap and ISO,” Martinez added.
