- General Motors assembles its Chevrolet Aveo and Trax and BMW Group Mexico assembles its Series 3 sedan in San Luis Potosí.
- BMW Group Mexico invested $1 billion dollars for their new 30-hectare assembly plant in the Logistik industrial park, where they will employ an estimated 1,500 people and use 500 high-tech robots. The new BMW plant is expected to be fully online by the middle of 2019.
Additionally, major international car manufacturers such as VW, Toyota, Volvo, Fiat, Honda, Audi, Nissan, Mitsubishi, amongst a dozen others, have established distribution centers in San Luis Potosí to countries throughout Latin America, North America and Europe.
