The 3rd edition of the International Aerospace Supplier Forum held on November 15t in Mexicali, Baja California successfully brought together suppliers and buyers to the region with the object of landing new business opportunities and to provide them with an overview of the fast growing market that the Aerospace Industry in Baja California offers.
This year's event took place at CETYS University because of its strong linkage to the state's Aerospace industry; CETYS was the first University in México to offer a graduate program in Aerospace Engineering.
The Supplier Connection Pavilion brought to the event by Co-Production International showcased Barry Avenue Plating, Conesys, Solid Precision, Nitrex Inc., Vesta, Santos Precision and RBC Bearings, companies that offer key manufacturing components as well as special processes required by the Aerospace industry. Some of these services go from Plating, heat treatment, industrial machining, connectors, interconnectors to bearing and engineering design.
The event featured presentations, workshops and panel discussions of industry experts such as Eduardo Solis, LATAM Supply Chain Manager at Eaton Aerospace, Verónica López Melih, Export Manufacturing Director Ministry of Economy, René Mendoza Acosta, Director Northern Region at National Chamber of IT and Electronics, Gilberto Macías Zavala, Coordinator Northeast Region PROMÉXICO, Eduardo Muñiz Juárez, Director of Finance at Transport and Logistics Industry, Mexican Bank of Commerce, Michael Eilola, VP Americas Integrated Supply Chain Honeywell, Tim Martin, VP Supply Chain and Strategic Initiatives UTAS and Arturo Sojo Quiroz, Director of Financial Intermediaries, Mexican Bank of Commerce.
More than 250 business meetings were held with global leaders such as UTC Aerospace Systems, GKN Aerospace, Rockwell Collins, Eaton Aerospace, Zodiac, Honeywell, Gulfstream and many others. The successful negotiations resulted in the development of the local and regional economy, rise of investment and new jobs generation.
