The Mayor of Tecate, Edgar Darío Benítez Ruiz, has unveiled an ambitious private investment worth over $145 million for the construction of the "La Herradura Norte Industrial Park" within the city.

This significant development is anticipated to create more than 3,900 direct manufacturing jobs for the locals.

Spanning 43 hectares, "La Herradura Norte" is designed to be a sustainable industrial park that will be established in three phases, with an expected completion timeline of four years. The park will feature "Class A" buildings aiming to attract manufacturing companies seeking to leverage the reshaping of global supply chains through nearshoring strategies and Mexico manufacturing.

The construction phase alone is projected to generate 3,900 direct jobs and over 4,900 indirect jobs, boosting the local employment landscape significantly.

The mayor emphasized that social development through investment is a priority for the municipality. "The citizens of Tecate will be the primary beneficiaries of this major project, which will undoubtedly strengthen our local economy," he stated.

The investment will be carried out by private investors led by the developer Group La Mesa. In discussions with the investors, the mayor urged adherence to current regulations and to focus on a project that enhances community well-being, including the provision of green spaces, a childcare facility, and urban equipment.

This investment announcement underscores Tecate's strategic advantages as a production hub for the industry and the city's commitment to facilitating private investment, job creation, and improving the quality of life for its residents.
