Monterrey is Considered Mexico’s Most Competitive Major City

According to the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness's (IMCO) 2022 Urban Competitiveness Index, Monterrey Nuevo León, in the country's north, ranks as the most competitive city in Mexico with a population of over a million people.
Based on 69 parameters analyzing levels of inclusion, the political system, economy, education, law, governance, manufacturing capabilities, and international relations, the study rated 66 cities in Mexico.
The city of Monterrey moved to the top of the list because of its diverse economy, according to IMCO, which also highlighted the city's easy access to business credit in the financial sector and a strong real estate market.
